The tiles above are the quick route. If you would rather just be told, this is what I would send for each day — and the one case where I would send you somewhere else.
A wedding. A white bouquet for the bride. A flower box with one name on the front for each of your sponsors — your ninang and ninong, your bridesmaids, your maid of honour. For the reception tables, the arrangement with no box, so nothing blocks the view across and the photograph of the two of you sits where everyone seated can see it. For a hundred guests, a jar candle with your names and your date on the label. Wedding gifts →
A funeral, or the weeks after it. White is the one most people bring. It does not wilt, so the family is not throwing flowers away seven days later — it goes on a shelf and it stays. A name and a date can go on the front. Sympathy & Remembrance →
A pet that has died. The same idea, smaller, with the pet’s name and a photograph. Most people light these one day a year and keep them the rest of it. Pet Memorial →
A birthday. Pink, dark pink or purple, with the name on the box. A dessert candle instead if they are the sort who collects pretty things for a shelf. Birthday keepsakes →
An anniversary. A photograph of the two of you standing above the flowers — or no photograph at all, just the words. I LOVE YOU, the date, a line from your vows. Anniversary & just because →
Mother’s Day. Something that is still on her shelf next Mother’s Day, with her name on the front. Mother’s Day gifts →
Someone who really does burn candles. Then a bouquet is the wrong gift and I will say so. Send a jar candle instead — 12 oz, wooden wick, $32. The Signature Collection →
Still not sure? Tell me the day and who it is for, and I will tell you what I would send.
I make candles in Kitchener, Ontario — in my own kitchen, one piece at a time.
I started with jar candles, like everyone else. Then I noticed something about the people buying from me: almost nobody was burning them. They were buying for someone — a bride, a mother, a friend who had just lost someone — and the first thing they said was that it was too pretty to light.
So I stopped making candles to burn and started making candles to keep. Every flower in a Wické bouquet is poured and shaped by hand, petal by petal, in wax rather than silk or paper. It looks like a bouquet. It will never wilt, never drop a petal and never need water. Five years from now it will look the way it looked on the day you gave it.
That is why my pieces end up at weddings, christenings, birthdays, anniversaries and funerals — the days people want to hold on to. I can put a name, a photograph, or just the words you want to say on the front of any of them.
Everything is made here in Kitchener and ships across Canada. If you are in Kitchener or Waterloo, I bring it to you myself.
Ten pieces or a hundred and fifty. Your names on the label, one guest's name on each box, or a photograph standing in the flowers. Tell me your date and roughly how many, and I will come back with a quote and a picture of something similar I have made.
Dessert candles, jar candles, dough bowls, and refill wax for the jar you already own.

If you are inside the region, I would rather bring your order to you myself than hand sculpted wax flowers to a courier. Write to me before you order and we will arrange a time — there is nothing extra to pay.
Yes, and most people do. These are made to be kept — the flowers are the point, not the flame. If you never light it, nothing about it changes.
They are solid wax and stable at normal room temperature. Keep a piece out of direct sunlight and away from a radiator or a hot car, the same way you would treat a candle, and it will hold its shape.
Yes. Three ways: a custom label on any candle in the shop, vinyl lettering on the front of a flower box, or a printed 7 × 7 cm photograph with a name beneath it. Or just the words — I LOVE YOU, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, a date, a line from your vows.
Four to six weeks from an approved design, with a minimum of ten pieces and no maximum. I pour every piece myself, so the lead time is honest rather than optimistic. If your date is sooner, write to me anyway — sometimes it works.
Yes. Shipping is free on orders over $75 up to 10 kg. Flower bouquets are charged separately because the box is large rather than heavy, and the cart takes up to four of them — for more than four, write to me and I will quote the courier at cost.
